Classic Fruit’s commitment to food safety goes far beyond the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act stipulations against adulteration or misbranding. Our Food Safety team includes an in-house laboratory at our production and packing source to insure our protocols for GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiatives) are impeccably maintained and monitored. We also utilize independent laboratory tests at our production source for bacterial (including Salmonella and Listeria) and chemical residues. We test again for bacterial (including Salmonella and Listeria) and chemical residues, utilizing another separate independent laboratory when fruit arrives at our storage facility.
