Classic Fruit’s commitment to food safety includes meeting the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) but goes far beyond requirements set forth by government agencies.

Not only does Classic Fruit maintain the highest levels of certifications for GlobalGAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI), we also utilize in-house onsite laboratory testing and independent third-party testing of our production and packing sources.  This testing confirms food safety efforts at Classic Fruit are functioning properly to eliminate bacteria and other residues from products we ship to our wholesale customers.  

Additional testing is randomly conducted upon arrival into the United States by the USDA and an independent third-party laboratory to ensure the safety of our melons.
